Children Learn What They LiveBy Dorothy Law Nolte, Ph.D.

If children live with criticism, they learn to condemn.
If children live with hostility, they learn to fight.
If children live with fear, they learn to be apprehensive.
If children live with pity, they learn to feel sorry for themselves.
If children live with ridicule, they learn to feel shy.
If children live with jealousy, they learn to feel envy.
If children live with shame, they learn to feel guilty.
If children live with encouragement, they learn confidence.
If children live with tolerance, they learn patience.
If children live with praise, they learn appreciation.
If children live with acceptance, they learn to love.
If children live with approval, they learn to like themselves.
If children live with recognition, they learn it is good to have a goal.
If children live with sharing, they learn generosity.
If children live with honesty, they learn truthfulness.
If children live with fairness, they learn justice.
If children live with kindness and consideration, they learn respect.
If children live with security, they learn to have faith in themselves and in those about them.
If children live with friendliness, they learn the world is a nice place in which to live.

Fathers Day 2011 ~ Ironbridge Gorge Shropshire

Well what can i say, Today was just a perfect family day out. We met up early with the Childrens dad and the children full of beans gave Daddy his gift for Fathers Day, something very special even if i do say so myself, lol. Jumping in the truck we headed off to Car Boot Sales in Shrewsbury and Telford for a change Kellyn and i found some bits we been after for a while,  I love taking Kellyn to Car Boot Sales, he is 4 years old and has an amazing eye for a bargain he has control of his own money and knows what he wants. Being such a wonderful loving lad he even brought presents for his Sister today, Totally sweet lad.
After our rummage though the boots we headed once again to Ironbridge it was a beautiful sunny day and once again our family is full of happiness delighting in each others company despite a few knock backs. Kellyn at the momnet is well into history and is starting to look into the industrial revolution which of course began, In Shropshire. Ironbridge is a very beautiful place well worth a visit, it is also a World Heritage Site.
Firstly today we visited the Museum of the goge a small museum explaining about the river its fish  and of course the flooding. After this week took a walk along the River up to the famous Ironbridge built in 1779 by Abraham Derby third this is now engrained on my memory after last weeks lesson in the Victorian school at Blitz Hill. Firstly we took a look at the bridge and the structure itself and after taking some photo's as you do we headed over the bridge stopping for a family photo at the highest point.
Next we looked the toll house before returning back over the bridhe and settling down for a lovely healthy lunch by the river which Daddy had prepared for us before jumping back in our truck and heading out to Brosley Pipe Works.

Brosley Pipe works was a very interesting place to visit though it is on the small side though it has been preserved remarkably well. After this short visit we headed back over the borders to the Valley we all call home now.

Arrianna at 4 Months

This Saturday Arrianna will be 4 months old, Where has the time gone ?? It is a complete you to have her. We have been continuing with our baby massage course Arrianna loves this time especially when i massage her legs. I use completely  natural oil on her body. Arrianna responds really well to this attention.
Arrianna is now on the move she will roll over and move around in a complete circle when left. She loves her play time with her toys and responds well with a big smile and lots of talking. We have started to attend lots of groups locally and Arrianna is very much the center of attention and doesn't she know it look up at you with big blue eyes which just melt your your heart.

Month 3 Update

Well hi Guys its been a while since i have sat here and written a blog, life as been very much of a rollercoster over the last few weeks as the family has dealt witha couple of shaky times but i pray now that our lives are now back on course and we can once again move on. So much has happened with Arrianna recently, We have visited a physiotherapist, Arrianna has a very helpful and delightful lady who has diagnosed floppiness in Arrianna's Neck and Delayed Head control.  So now Arrianna and i work on a daily routine to help strengthen her neck mussel and give her more control.  These are great fun times for us as Arrianna lies on her Tummy i encourage her to lift her head by showing her various toys and talking to her and making noises. recently to help with this  The family headed to our local massive Car Boot Sale at Chirk. Here i managed to buy a huge bundle of toys for Arrianna each making noises and are very colorful to help attract her attention. I also purchased some bean bags to aid senses development. As well as physiotherapy we have had contact with speech therapy occupational therapy and lots more health professionals however there is little they can do at such an early stage.
Arrianna is very much at the center of our family Kellyn and Ceienna adore her each helping her playing with her and talking to her which will prove to be invaluable to her in her early years, we are lucky in our family that Arrianna has been born to us as our 3rd child, with very loving, caring older siblings she will go far. As you can see from the pictures Ceienna is very keen to involve her as much as she possibly can in everything. This can some times leave your heart in your throat as Ceienna is a very head strong Toddler and does not believe there are simply thing she can not do, still id rather the other children be involved with Arrianna than to simply ignore her.
One thing that is just totally wonderful about Arrianna that every time you look at her and talk to her you are greeted with a wonderful smile. Other plus points are i am about to start a new course which i know will be simply life changing, Kellyn, Ceienna and myself are learning Makaton a form of sign language and this is going really well for the 3 of us and we are using it lots in the house and out and about, for me being deaf it i proving invaluable when we are out its letting me communicate allot easier with the children and for Kellyn he can tell me things in sign which he may not want anyone else to know which can only be a positive thing. So really even though we have been dragged though a bit of a down time we as a family and especially me in myself are very much on the way up. Having Arrianna has taught me so much in a short space of time, i have learnt the value of me time for not only me but my family, the 3 children need me to be fresh and revitalized and having time away does not make me a bad mother but a considerate mother. I am embarking on lots of various courses some which will benefit Kellyn and Ceienna, Some for Arrianna and some simple for me to for fill my dreams. Being single can be lonely and i do feel some what on the shelf these days but it does not have to be the end of the world as i am finally learning to live my life to the max. I have a new favorite saying MAKE WAY FOR ME, lol. Watch this Space Guys.

I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY A HUGE THANK YOU TO THOUGH OF YOU WHO HAVE HELPED US OVER THE LAST 3 MONTHS YOUR CONTINUED HELP AND SUPPORT NO MATTER HOW BIG OR SMALL IS SO MUCH APPRECIATED .

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH
FROM
ME, KELLYN, CEIENNA, ARRIANNA AND OF COURSE MUZZY DOG,

Blitz Hill Victorian Town Ironbridge

Today the children and i headed into Shropshire and out in Coalbrookdale the birthplace of industry and on of our favorite places to go as myself and Kellyn are very much into our history and today as a special treat we were joined by the children's dad.  We drove through the country taking a beautiful scenic route through the small villages out the ti Ironbridge. We drove past the World famous Ironbridge the first of its kind to be built in the World by Abraham Derby 3rd in 1779.
Today we were visiting just one of the 14 museums which make up the Ironbridge Attraction, This was Blitz Hill Victorian Town, Today they had a Horses in Harnesses Event on much to our delight being as Ceienna, Myself and their Dad are all lovers of these magnificent creatures. Most of the Shire horses where in all their fine Brass and standing very proud. Ceienna is totally fearless of these animals despite the enormous size compare to our little girl who is now 2 1/2 years old and a very fine Horse girl already able to control most animals on her own.
We wondered around the Town stopping at every shop or house Ceienna and Kellyn were asking lots of Questions and impressing the staff who are in costume and even to the point the staff were talking about our children and when we met the other staff members they were almost honored to meet Kellyn and Ceienna, giving them an extra special welcome. Kellyn was most impressed with the estate office, as he is interested in engineering and inventing at the moment the was interested to know things were done back then.
Before Lunch we took part in the highlight of the day, A School lesson, This was just so funny and so much fun. Our family set on the front row, Kellyn listened to everything that he was told and carried out each task. Daddy and i were picked on by the teacher but i had the joy of being told to sit back down cause the teacher was wrong not me, 1 to me i think. It was good for Kellyn ad Ceienna to see how school has changed. Amazingly even Ceienna took on the lessons and despite being small ls fell victim to the school teacher and also Arrianna, who even through the noise of laughing and the cane remained sleeping.
Unfortunately it soon started raining so we grabbed son fab fish and chips and fresh bread before retreating back to the car. The children s Dad had to get back due to work commitments so we dropped him off and headed for home where our fun continued, We all snuggled together and watched a Disney film with lots of yummy treats, totally wonderful day.

Blitz Hill is easy to get around with a pushchair and is friendly for all ages with really helpful informative and patient Staff. There is a fee for car parking on top of entrance fee's, But on the whole we all came away with a big smile.
